At home hair coloring can be tricky in picking out what color dye
will help dye the hair to the correct color. Sometimes the result is
having the hair color too dark. There are ways that this can be
fixed.
When dying hair at home it can be a bit hard to match up to the
color that is wanted with the coloring that the person actually
has. Sometimes the result in having the hair color too dark. However
there is no need to get upset or worried that you will have to be
stuck with a color of hair that isn't wanted. There are many options
out there that are available in lightening the hair color of the hair
to get it a bit lighter.
The first option is that of using just a regular shampoo that has
any type of sulfates or silicon in it. These harsh chemicals will help
in the striping of the hair and help get that color lighter then the
dye had dyed it. The results of this might not be seen instantly but
it will happen after a couple of washes it should take some of that
color away and give the hair a bit lighter color. After the color is
stripped a bit it will be safe to go back to a color treated shampoo
so the color will stay for a bit longer.
The second option available is to use a bleaching agent such as a
vol 10 hair developer. This bleaching agent won't strip the hair of
the color completely but it will allow the color to be about one shade
lighter then what is achieved.
Another option available is to completely strip the hair of the
color. This takes all the previous hair color away and it should be
the natural hair color again. However this option doesn't always work
and can be a bit dangerous if you aren't familiar with what you are
doing. After the stripping of the hair is achieved the person will
most likely need to redye the hair with another type of dye to go over
the areas that weren't stripped all the way.
There are some products out there that might take a bit of the
coloring out. Going to a local beauty supply shop should know what
options are available and what type of product will help see the best
results for the hair dye.
